Two young children have sustained serious injuries following a tractor rollover incident in Gerstetten, Baden-Württemberg. The accident occurred when a car collided with the rear of the tractor, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn multiple times. Both children, aged four, were transported to hospitals for treatment.
Accident Details
The incident unfolded as the 29-year-old tractor driver attempted to turn onto an agricultural path. At the same time, a 21-year-old driver in a car approached from behind and struck the tractor with considerable force. The impact caused the tractor to veer off the road, flip several times, and eventually land back on its wheels. The car involved in the collision ended up in a ditch.
Two four-year-old boys were seriously injured.
One child was ejected from the tractor and airlifted to a clinic.
No life-threatening injuries were reported for the ejected child, according to initial police assessments.
Two adults, including the drivers of both vehicles, also suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals.
